On Monday, 13th May 2024, at around 9:20 p.m., the Kinston Police Department responded to a shooting incident near the 300 block of S. Davis St. in the Richard Green Housing Complex. Two female juveniles, aged 13 and 15, were found at the scene with gunshot wounds. They were promptly taken to ECU Medical Center, where they are currently in stable condition. While detectives were investigating the incident, they were informed that a third victim, identified as 20-year-old Rayshon Aytch from Kinston, had arrived at UNC Lenoir Hospital seeking treatment.

This case is currently under investigation, and further details will be provided at a later date.
