Who was Officer Paramhans Desai?

Officer Desai and his older sister Divya were born in India, raised in Ohio, and eventually settled in Georgia.

In an interview with FOX 5, Divya Desai revealed that her younger brother had always harboured a desire to become a police officer.

“His profession meant everything to him. When he wasn’t at work, he would discuss his job with us. He experimented with being an investigator, but he found his true calling as a police officer,” Desai shared.

Officer Desai joined the Henry County Police Department in October 2020, following stints at the Georgia Department of Corrections and the Dekalb County Police Department, amassing a total of 17 years in law enforcement.

According to Desai, her brother led a disciplined life, prioritising his health through regular exercise. She mentioned that new fitness equipment brought him immense joy. He also cherished his family, including his wife and two young children.

Even in death, Officer Desai continued to positively impact the lives of others. His final act of service involved organ donation, which ultimately saved the lives of 11 individuals.
