The Henry County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia has apprehended a 42-year-old man in connection with an alleged assault on a staff member at a local Lowe’s Home Improvement store.
The incident unfolded at the Lowe’s branch situated on Commonwealth Blvd in Henry County on a Sunday morning at approximately 11:30 a.m., as detailed by law enforcement officials.
According to reports, the victim was on duty when the suspect, identified as Malvester Penn III, engaged in conversation with them. Subsequently, the employee claims that Penn made inappropriate physical contact and uttered sexual remarks.
Following collaborative efforts between the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Martinsville Police Department, Penn was identified as the perpetrator and taken into custody later that same day around 4 p.m. He is facing charges of sexual assault and has been banned from entering the premises.
For his actions during the incident, Penn has been granted a $2,000 secure bond.
