Accident – Death – Obituary News :

The Mumbai Crime Branch has made its sixth arrest in the case involving the firing incident at superstar Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra. The accused, identified as Harpal Singh (37), was apprehended from Haryana’s Fatehabad and is set to appear in the MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) court in Mumbai.

According to police officials, Harpal Singh’s involvement came to light during the interrogation of another suspect, Mohammed Rafique Choudhary. It was revealed that Singh had provided financial support to Choudhary for conducting a reconnaissance mission around Salman Khan’s residence.

The mastermind behind the attack was identified as gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Vishnoi, who played a crucial role in motivating the shooters. Anmol facilitated the delivery of weapons to the shooters in Panvel on March 15, 2024, and provided them with detailed information about the target, instructing them to carry out the attack at the actor’s residence.

Further investigations by the Crime Branch revealed that Choudhary had conducted a surveillance of Salman Khan’s apartment building on April 12 and had filmed a video of the premises, which was sent to Anmol. The shooters, Pal and Gupta, initially hesitated to carry out the attack until Anmol assured them that they would be rewarded for completing the task.

The two shooters were dispatched to Mumbai in October of the previous year by the Bishnoi gang but struggled to find accommodation. It wasn’t until March 2024 that they managed to secure a flat in the Harigram area with the help of a local rickshaw driver in Panvel.

The planned attack took place as instructed, and the shooters were paid a total of Rs 3 lakh for their role in the incident. The firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments on April 14 sent shockwaves through the Bandra community, prompting the Mumbai Police to take action against all individuals involved by invoking the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Following the incident, Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, released a statement on behalf of the family expressing their shock and concern. He clarified that the family had not made any statements to the media regarding the incident and emphasized their cooperation with the police investigation.

Arbaaz Khan’s statement read, “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment, the residence of the Salim Khan family, is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some individuals claiming to be associated with our family have made false statements to the media, which should not be taken seriously.”

He further added, “At this time, the family is assisting the police in their investigation of this unfortunate incident and has full faith in the Mumbai police to ensure the safety and security of our family. We appreciate the love and support of everyone during this challenging time.”

This latest development in the case underscores the serious nature of organized crime and the efforts of law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of public figures like Salman Khan.
