Jaipur, May 14 (PTI) – In a heartwarming turn of events, two children, one of them a four-year-old boy, who were reportedly abducted from Kota railway station, have been successfully rescued in Jaipur. The police have apprehended five individuals, including a woman, in connection with the case.
According to authorities, the young boy was taken from Kota on the night of May 5 by a group from Haryana and transported to Bhopal. The Government Railway Police (GRP) managed to locate and rescue the children after they were brought to Jaipur by the suspects.
Additional Director General (GRP) Anil Paliwal revealed that a second child, approximately 15 years old, who had been missing for a decade, was also found in the custody of the same group. It was discovered that the abductors were exploiting the children for dangerous stunts and begging purposes.
Paliwal explained that the four-year-old boy was snatched from the Kota railway station by unidentified individuals while his father briefly stepped away to purchase a ticket, leaving him unattended. The father and son were en route to Uttar Pradesh at the time.
Upon his return, the father immediately raised the alarm upon realizing his son was missing, prompting a prompt response from the GRP. CCTV footage was carefully examined to track the perpetrators’ movements.
An exhaustive investigation revealed that the suspects were on their way to Bhopal by road. Law enforcement officers meticulously reviewed footage from 470 CCTV cameras along the Kota-Bhopal route to gather crucial leads.
Paliwal commended the diligent efforts of the investigative teams, stating that their perseverance led them to Jaipur where an extensive search operation was conducted across multiple locations. It was during this operation that the four-year-old boy and the other long-lost minor were rescued.
The five suspects, identified as Mukesh Madari, Karan, Arjun, Rajjo, and Prem, have since been taken into custody in connection with the case.
