The black Jeep was linked to an ongoing drug investigation, prompting deputies to approach the occupants, identified as 19-year-old Quayland Johnson and 18-year-old Trinity Schlegel. Both individuals had outstanding warrants in Montgomery County, leading to their immediate arrest.

Upon initial inspection of the vehicle, deputies discovered drug paraphernalia in plain view, indicating the potential use of smoking fentanyl pills, commonly referred to as “Dirty 30s.”

It was also revealed that Johnson was wanted in connection with a narcotics-related search warrant executed at 633 W. Beech Street in Independence, Kansas.

Following their arrest, Johnson and Schlegel were taken to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections, where they were processed and booked on their respective warrants. The black Jeep was subsequently impounded and transferred to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for further examination.

Subsequent to obtaining a search warrant, deputies conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and uncovered additional drug paraphernalia, along with a significant quantity of fentanyl pills.
