The vehicle in question was linked to an ongoing drug investigation. Upon approaching the occupants, identified as 19-year-old Quayland Johnson and 18-year-old Trinity Schlegel, deputies discovered that both individuals had outstanding warrants in Montgomery County, leading to their immediate arrest.

During the initial interaction with Johnson, law enforcement officials noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, which appeared to be used for smoking fentanyl pills, commonly referred to as “Dirty 30s.”

Johnson was also wanted in connection with a narcotics-related search warrant that had been executed at 633 W. Beech Street in Independence, Kansas.

Following their arrest, Johnson and Schlegel were taken to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections, where they were booked on their respective warrants. The black Jeep was impounded and transferred to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation. Subsequent to obtaining a search warrant, deputies discovered additional drug paraphernalia and more fentanyl pills inside the vehicle.
