According to the NSP, a Kia sedan was travelling eastbound on the highway when it lost control and collided with a semi-trailer that was parked on the shoulder. The impact of the crash resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.

Victim Identification

The driver of the Kia sedan has been identified as 20-year-old Mollie Quick, a resident of Waukee, Iowa. Tragically, Quick was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the semi-trailer was unharmed and did not sustain any injuries.
