The hunt is on for a boater who allegedly caused the death of a teenage girl over the weekend in Miami.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the victim, identified as 15-year-old Ella Adler, was participating in water-skiing activities around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday near Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne when she was struck by a boat.

FWC officials have reported that the boat in question was last observed heading westward from Nixon Beach. The vessel is described as a center console boat with a light blue hull. It is equipped with multiple white outboard motors and may possess blue or dark blue bottom paint.

Authorities from Crime Stoppers have mentioned that the boat could potentially be located anywhere, as there are various marinas, bays, islands, and backwaters close to the location of the incident.

In a statement released on social media, Crime Stoppers expressed, “There is one family, one group of friends, whose Mother’s Day and life has been changed forever!”

As per an obituary, Adler was the great-grandchild of Holocaust survivors. She had a passion for dancing and was a member of the Ransom Everglades Jewish Students Association.
