STOCKTON, Ala. (WKRG) — The second victim of a tragic shooting incident in Stockton on Saturday has been named as Chiquita Ewing, as confirmed by her family.
Described as a devoted mother of four, Ewing’s untimely death has left her loved ones devastated.
The fatal shooting took place during a May Day celebration that drew around 1,000 attendees to an open field on Upper Bryant’s Landing Road, as reported by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Initially described as a peaceful gathering, the event took a tragic turn when an altercation escalated into gunfire, with at least one individual opening fire on the crowd.
Authorities believe there may have been multiple shooters involved in the incident.
Of the 18 individuals who were shot during the chaos, three tragically succumbed to their injuries, including Ewing and the previously identified victim, 19-year-old Michael Anderson Jr.
