Authorities in Long Beach are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman over the weekend. The incident took place at around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and 57th Street, following reports of multiple gunshots in the area and a suspect vehicle seen fleeing the scene, as reported by investigators from the Long Beach Police Department.
Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered the victim, identified as Brooklyn Mack, lying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds to both her upper and lower body. Despite the efforts of paramedics from the Long Beach Fire Department to save her life, Mack was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, Mack was walking in the vicinity when she was targeted by an unidentified assailant who fired the fatal shots before fleeing in a vehicle. As of now, no further details about the suspect or the motive behind the shooting have been disclosed.
