The young boy, identified as Rahul Kumar from Dehradun, was visiting his maternal grandparents in Rahul Nagar Colony, under the Pooranpur tehsil of Pilibhit, accompanied by his mother Seema and two siblings, Vivek and Sandhya. The family had consumed instant noodles and rice on Thursday evening, after which they began to feel unwell.
Rahul, his two siblings, mother, and maternal aunts, Sanju and Sanjana, all experienced severe stomach pain and diarrhoea, symptoms of food poisoning. They were swiftly taken to a private hospital on Friday and later transferred to the local Community Health Centre (CHC) for further treatment. Tragically, Rahul passed away on the way to the centre, and Vivek’s condition was deemed critical, leading to his referral to the district hospital. The remaining family members are currently receiving medical care at the health centre.
