An 18-year-old man, Lewis M. Cameron, has been arrested by Delaware State Police in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on October 8th, 2023, in Lewes.
The arrest of Cameron took place on May 10th, following his extradition from Maryland to Delaware’s Troop 5. He has been charged with attempted 1st-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
After being arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Cameron was remanded to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1.2 million cash bond.
The shooting incident, which occurred at 6 pm on October 8th near the 31000 block of Maple Court in Lewes, resulted in a 29-year-old man from Millsboro sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. Upon their arrival at the scene, troopers identified Cameron as the suspect through a thorough investigation.
