Authorities in Omaha, Nebraska are currently investigating a tragic incident that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old teenager. The Omaha Police Department received a distressing call in the early hours of the morning, prompting a swift response to the scene at 53rd and Spaulding Streets.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that a young individual had been stabbed and was being transported to Nebraska Medicine in a private vehicle. Despite efforts to save her, the victim, identified as Ezra Sinkiawic, succumbed to her injuries.
Eyewitnesses at the scene provided crucial information to law enforcement, leading to the apprehension of the suspect, an 18-year-old woman named Kianna Opal. Opal was taken into custody without incident and transported to OPD headquarters for questioning.

Kianna Opal has since been booked into the Douglas County Jail and is facing charges of homicide and the use of a knife to commit a felony.
