A shocking incident unfolded in Makarfi local government area of Kaduna State, where six-year-old Aisha Saidu met a tragic end at the hands of a suspected kidnapper. The perpetrator, identified as Abdulazeez Idris, brutally murdered the innocent child because she recognized him, leading to a horrifying chain of events.

Abdulazeez Idris confessed to the heinous act, admitting that he mercilessly slashed Aisha’s neck with a razor blade before callously disposing of her lifeless body in a well. The Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, released a statement detailing the tragic events that unfolded on February 12, 2024. Aisha’s father, Mr. Saidu Dahiru, reported her disappearance when she failed to return home from Islamiyya school in Angwan Juma’a, Zaria.

The Abduction and Ransom Demand

Mr. Dahiru revealed that Aisha was allegedly abducted by her cousin brother, Abdulazeez Idris, who also resided in the same area. Following her disappearance, the family received a chilling phone call from an unknown individual, later identified as the perpetrator, demanding a ransom of ₦8,000,000 for the safe return of the young girl.

The case was swiftly transferred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Kaduna, where diligent efforts led to the arrest of Abdulazeez Idris in Makarfi Local Government.
