Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a heartbreaking incident that shook the Nanja Reddy Colony of Jeevan Bima Nagar in east Bengaluru, a five-year-old boy named Aarav lost his life after being run over by a car on Sunday morning. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Devaraj, an 18-year-old PU student and nephew of a City Armed Reserve (CAR) police constable, has been accused of causing the fatal accident.

Details of the Incident

The tragic incident occurred around 10.30 am while Aarav was playing with a group of boys in front of his house. Devaraj, who did not possess a valid driving licence, was behind the wheel of his uncle’s car when the accident took place. Reports suggest that Devaraj drove the car recklessly, hitting three two-wheelers before tragically running over young Aarav.

Devaraj, who resides just a few houses away from Aarav’s home, had borrowed the car key from his uncle with the intention of cleaning the vehicle. However, a series of unfortunate events unfolded as he accidentally started the car and lost control, leading to the fatal collision that claimed Aarav’s life.

Response and Legal Action

Local residents who witnessed the incident immediately alerted Aarav’s parents, who rushed him to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the doctors declared Aarav dead upon arrival due to severe head injuries sustained in the accident. The JB Nagar traffic police have taken up the case, and based on a complaint filed by Aarav’s father, a case has been registered against Devaraj under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving) and 304 A (causing death by negligence).

Devaraj, a recent II PU graduate preparing for higher studies, appeared before the magistrate on Sunday evening. The police are also investigating the role of Devaraj’s uncle, Mallesh, who is a driver with a Hoysala patrol vehicle attached to Whitefield police. Authorities have assured that necessary action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.

Community Grieves the Loss

Aarav, the youngest child of private firm employee Tamara Kannan, leaves behind grieving parents and an elder sister. The tragic incident has left the neighbourhood in shock and mourning, as they come to terms with the loss of a young life in such a devastating manner.

As the investigation continues and legal proceedings unfold, the community stands united in grief and support for Aarav’s family during this difficult time.
