The situation demanded the expertise of the SWAT team, Crisis Negotiation Team, and drone operators, who promptly responded to the scene. Utilising their state-of-the-art resources, including the powerful loudspeaker system of the armored Terradyne, the SWAT team initiated negotiations with the suspect, identified as 71-year-old Tarrant West.
In a remarkable display of professionalism and restraint, Tarrant West voluntarily surrendered to the authorities without any resistance. He was promptly taken into custody by law enforcement officers and is now facing serious charges related to the incident.
