The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is currently looking into a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of a woman in Onawa.
According to reports, at around 5:42 p.m. on Friday, May 10, authorities received a 911 call regarding a shooting that took place in the 1900 block of Granite Street in Onawa. Deputies swiftly responded to the scene and discovered the lifeless body of a female identified as Stacey Allen, aged 47.
Subsequently, Jamie Allen, aged 48, was apprehended by the Monona County Sheriff’s Office without any resistance. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Monona County Jail for further questioning.
Jamie Allen now faces a serious charge of Murder in the 1st Degree, classified as a Class A Felony. The Monona County Sheriff’s Office is working closely with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation to uncover the full details surrounding this tragic incident.
