Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a recent development in Nashville, Tennessee, two teenagers were apprehended by the Metro police on Thursday afternoon in connection with a series of vehicle thefts, illegal gun sales, and drug trafficking. The arrests were made following an intensive investigation into the criminal activities of the suspects.

Arrest of Omar Diouf

One of the arrested individuals, 19-year-old Omar Diouf, was taken into custody after he was spotted leaving his residence on Ransom Place. Diouf attempted to flee from the police but was eventually apprehended. During the chase, he discarded a loaded handgun, which was later recovered by the authorities. The gun was reported stolen, and Diouf was also found to be in possession of a 3D printed switch used to convert a rifle into an automatic weapon.

Further investigation led the officers to execute a search warrant at Diouf’s residence, where they discovered a 3D printer, five programmers, and a significant number of key fobs.

Arrest of Thierry Bwenge

The second teenager, Thierry Bwenge, also 19 years old, was arrested near his home on Thornehill Drive. A search of Bwenge’s residence uncovered multiple firearm components, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, uncut key fobs, and other incriminating evidence. Additionally, seven guns wrapped in rugs were found in the garage, two of which were reported as stolen.

Both Diouf and Bwenge are facing charges related to felony weapon possession, theft of firearms, and possession of burglary tools. Bwenge is currently held in jail on a bond of $196,000, while Diouf’s bond is set at $160,000. In addition to the aforementioned charges, Diouf is also facing charges of auto theft for his involvement in a previous incident where he evaded police in a stolen vehicle.

Previous Criminal Activities

It was revealed that Bwenge was previously involved in a case where three teenagers were caught with stolen cars, guns, and key fobs. Additionally, both Diouf and Bwenge were implicated in a car theft incident involving an Instacart driver in Franklin earlier this year.

The arrests of these teenagers mark a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities related to vehicle thefts, illegal gun sales, and drug trafficking in Nashville. The Metro police are continuing their investigations to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in similar illicit activities.
