Authorities in Bengaluru are investigating a disturbing case involving the brutal murder of a 16-year-old girl from Somwarpet. The perpetrator, 32-year-old M Prakash, also known as Omkarappa, hailing from Hammiyala village, committed the heinous act by severing the girl’s head from her torso. The motive behind this gruesome crime was Prakash’s desperation stemming from the disruption of his wedding plans with the young girl.
The tragic incident occurred during the celebration of the girl’s recent success in passing her SSLC exams. Reports suggest that the victim and Prakash were romantically involved and had been planning to get married. However, their union faced opposition when concerns were raised about the girl’s underage status.
Authorities from the women and child welfare department intervened in the situation, advising the couple to postpone their marriage until the girl reached the legal age of 18. Despite this directive, Prakash’s frustration escalated, leading to the violent act that claimed the girl’s life.
Upon reaching the girl’s residence with an accomplice, Prakash launched a violent attack on her parents. In a desperate attempt to protect her family, the girl intervened and was tragically dragged away from her home and killed.
The investigation into this heinous crime is being conducted by Kodaku Police Superintendent K Ramarajan, with intensified efforts to locate the victim’s missing head. The girl’s parents are currently receiving medical treatment as they cope with the aftermath of this senseless tragedy.
