Tragedy struck in Maitama, Abuja, on Friday night as some unidentified gunmen shot dead a middle-aged man, identified as Khalid Bichi. Bichi, who was an employee of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, fell victim to the attack just before 9 pm while he was out to get food, according to a report by the Guardian.
Reports indicate that Bichi was fatally shot multiple times by his attackers. He was immediately rushed to Maitama General Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Known for his active presence on social media under the username @Khalid Bichi, the deceased had connections with influential politicians, as per sources familiar with the matter.
The funeral arrangements for Khalid Bichi have been set, with a funeral prayer scheduled to take place at Abuja National at 1:30 pm today. Family, friends, and colleagues are expected to pay their final respects to the late Federal Inland Revenue Service employee.
