MASSILLON, Ohio (WOIO) – Tragedy struck a Massillon movie theater on Friday night as a 27-year-old man lost his life in a shooting incident, according to authorities.
The incident took place just before 11 p.m. at the Regal Cinemas situated at 175 Cherry Avenue, as confirmed by Massillon Police Lt. Nicholas Antonides.
Lt. Antonides revealed that the victim, identified as Daron Davis from Canton, was discovered deceased near the front lobby by responding officers.
Following the incident, law enforcement officers apprehended an individual outside the Massillon Police Department at around 11:30 p.m., whom they believe to be a suspect in the case.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear at this time, leaving the community in shock and seeking answers.
