Babulal : “Bundi Lightning Tragedy: Toddler Girl Among Three Buried Alive”

In a heartbreaking turn of events, a lightning strike during a wedding ceremony in Nayagaon, Bundi district, Rajasthan, resulted in the death of three individuals and left one woman critically injured. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, when a house where the victims were staying collapsed under the impact of the lightning strike, burying them beneath the rubble.

According to police officials, the victims had travelled to the village to attend the wedding and were accommodated in a house located a short distance away from the wedding venue. The tragedy unfolded at around 2 am, catching the occupants of the house unaware as they slept peacefully.

Upon receiving the distress call, the Dablana police station quickly dispatched a team to the scene of the incident. The two-storey house had been severely damaged by the force of the lightning, making the rescue operation a challenging task. Despite the efforts of the emergency responders, three individuals lost their lives in the tragic accident, while a woman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Bundi Hospital for treatment.

The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Babulal, son of Shokaran Gurjar from Gothra, Bundi, 30-year-old Karma, wife of Mahavir Gurjar from Gorsya Kheda, and three-year-old Divya. The injured woman, identified as 52-year-old Hirabai, daughter of Prabhulal Gurjar from Raghunathpura, is currently receiving medical attention.
