A convoy belonging to Jannayak Janata Party’s sitting MLA and Hisar Lok Sabha candidate Naina Chautala was reportedly attacked by a group of individuals at village Roz Khera in Uchana district. The incident left six people injured, although Naina herself escaped unharmed, according to party leaders.
In a video message, Naina’s younger son Digvijay Chautala alleged that the attackers were Congress workers. However, the Congress party has denied these accusations.
Naina’s elder son and former Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala stated that his mother was en route to attend a programme in Uchana, the Assembly segment he represents. He explained, “Some youths who claimed to be farmer leaders began following her convoy from Gogaria. Upon reaching Roz Khera village, they started causing trouble. Six of our party workers, including two women, were injured in the altercation. The women’s clothes were torn, and two men sustained fractures. Additionally, the attackers pelted stones at the convoy, resulting in damage to one of the vehicles.”
A JJP leader clarified, “Although Naina ji did not suffer any injuries during the attack, the escalating tension prompted her to leave the scene. Subsequently, the entire group relocated to our party’s office in Uchana.”
Meanwhile, in Chandigarh, Congress leader B B Batra refuted the allegations that his party’s workers were involved in the incident.
