Muhammad Nahas : “Girl shifts to kin’s house to avoid Nahas; Relatives beat him with cake at night – Kerala Crime”

A disturbing incident unfolded in Kollam on Tuesday night when a young man from Pathanamthitta, identified as Muhammad Nahas (22) of Kummannur, was brutally beaten by the relatives of a 16-year-old girl he came to visit with a birthday cake. The incident took place in Thevalakkara, Kollam.

Thekkumbhagam police in Kollam have registered a POCSO case against Nahas based on the complaint filed by the girl’s relatives. They accused him of trespassing into the house and attempting to harm the girl.

According to Nahas, the girl’s relatives tied him up, suspended him, and subjected him to physical assault. They reportedly tied a coconut in a cloth, rubbed a matchstick on his ear, and beat him severely. However, the police have not yet received any formal complaint regarding this incident.

The girl’s relatives claimed that Nahas had been persistently harassing the girl, leading to her relocation to a relative’s house in Thevalakkara. When Nahas arrived at the house with a cake, he was intercepted by her relatives who proceeded to attack him. Nahas sustained visible injuries from the assault, and he is currently undergoing medical treatment.

The police intervened in the situation and released Nahas from the ordeal. The case has sparked outrage and concern in the community, highlighting the need for addressing issues related to harassment and violence.
