Kashaan Parks : Bronx Rape Suspect Kashaan Parks Identified

Kashaan Parks has been identified as the individual captured on video assaulting and sexually assaulting a woman in the Bronx last week. NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny revealed that the 39-year-old suspect has a criminal record with five prior arrests. Despite the circulation of a video purportedly showing the suspect’s apprehension by locals on social media, its authenticity has not been confirmed, and authorities have confirmed that he is still evading capture.

The disturbing incident occurred near 152nd Street and Third Avenue on May 1. Surveillance footage depicted the 45-year-old victim walking along the street when the masked attacker approached from behind. Using a belt, he strangled her, rendering her unconscious. The suspect then dragged her along the pavement and onto the street, where he proceeded to commit the heinous act.

The video footage initially circulated on WhatsApp before gaining traction on various other social media platforms.

“A report has been filed regarding a sexual assault near East 152 Street and 3rd Avenue within the 40 Precinct,” stated an NYPD spokesperson to Fox News Digital. “The report indicates that an unidentified male followed a 45-year-old female victim and used a belt to render her unconscious.”

During a press briefing on Friday, Chief Kenny suggested that there may have been a prior acquaintance between the perpetrator and the victim, with a potential involvement in a prostitution arrangement leading to the tragic incident.

“They were together earlier in the evening, and there may have been an agreement for sexual services in exchange for money. We are still investigating this aspect,” Kenny explained.
