In a tragic turn of events, a young engineering student lost his life in a fatal bike accident that occurred in Bilathikkulam, Kozhikode. The victim, identified as 21-year-old Anuroop from Ernakulam, was a third-year Applied Electronics student at West Hill Government Engineering College. The incident took place in the early hours of Friday when a motorbike, on which Anuroop was riding pillion, collided with a house at high speed, resulting in his untimely death.

Accompanied by his friends, Anuroop was en route to the railway station when the accident transpired. His companion, Ijas Iqbal from Kottayam Thalayolaparambu, sustained severe injuries in the crash. The impact of the collision was so intense that it caused damage to the house’s grill and window panes.

This unfortunate incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers associated with reckless riding and lack of road safety measures. It is imperative for all road users to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such tragic accidents from occurring.

Regrettably, this is not an isolated case, as similar accidents have been reported in the recent past. In Changaramkulam, Malappuram, two individuals were injured when their bike veered out of control and overturned. The passengers, Sreerag from Edappal and Anas from Changaramkulam, were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible driving and the need to prioritize safety on the roads.
