LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Tragedy struck in Gratiot County as one man lost his life in a single vehicle crash on Thursday night at 9:08 p.m. The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Aaron Crispin, who was the driver of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office reports that the fatal crash occurred when Crispin was traveling eastbound on Tyler Road at State Road. It was determined that he failed to stop at an intersection, leading to the tragic accident. Speed and alcohol are believed to have been contributing factors in the crash. Additionally, Crispin was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
In response to the emergency, the Gratiot County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Ithaca Fire and Rescue, Mobile Medical Response, and Michigan State Police, highlighting the collaborative effort in handling such incidents.
