Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Last month in Fremont, a daring heist took place at a local dealership that resembled a scene straight out of an action movie. The thieves managed to drive off with two high-end sports cars, a Porsche GT3 and a Porsche GT3 RS, valued at over $500,000 combined, by crashing through the showroom windows.

The Fremont Police Department recently announced a breakthrough in the case, revealing that both stolen vehicles had been recovered and one suspect was apprehended. The theft occurred in the early hours of April 4 at a dealership located in the 5000 block of Cushing Parkway.

Law enforcement officers were able to track the direction in which the stolen cars were headed, leading to the recovery of the Porsche GT3 RS in Milpitas a few hours later. The vehicle was promptly returned to the dealership.

The following day, detectives successfully located the Porsche GT3 and identified the driver as one of the individuals involved in the theft. The driver, a 22-year-old resident of Hayward, was taken into custody, and the Porsche GT3 was recovered.

During the arrest, the suspect attempted to discard a loaded handgun, prompting a search of his residence. The search yielded several high-capacity rifles, stolen items, cash, and a police radio scanner. The suspect faces multiple charges, including driving or taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, conspiracy, possession of firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon, and resisting or obstructing law enforcement.

Authorities are still actively searching for a second suspect involved in the heist, whose identity remains unknown. The Fremont Police Department has released an image of the individual and is appealing to the public for any information that may lead to their identification.
