A 71-year-old landlord, known only as Adesina, has been taken into custody for reportedly sexually assaulting and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old daughter in Akegbeyale Street, Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun state.
The shocking incident unfolded when the teenage girl was taking a shower in the house bathroom and the elderly landlord allegedly entered and forced himself on her. Residents reportedly caught the man in the act and alerted the police from Ajuwon divisional headquarters, leading to his arrest.
Following the disturbing ordeal, the victim’s father took her to Tamara Hospital in Akute for a medical examination, which tragically revealed that she was already six weeks pregnant. The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
Police Spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the distressing event, stating, “The father reported that he caught the landlord defiling his 14-year-old daughter in their bathroom. The medical examination confirmed the pregnancy, indicating that this was not an isolated incident. The state CID in Eleweran will be handling the case moving forward.”
