Nebraska Teacher Arrested After Allegedly Found in Car with Teenager
Erin Ward, a 45-year-old Nebraska teacher, was arrested on April 13 after being discovered in a compromising situation with a 17-year-old student in Douglas County. The incident, which took place in a parked car on a dead-end street, has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of students in the area.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked near the 10200th block of North 189th Street. Upon arrival, officers found a gray 2015 Honda Pilot with two individuals in the back seat. One of them hastily took the driver’s seat and drove off, ultimately crashing into a nearby yard.
The driver, a 17-year-old male, exited the vehicle unclothed and fled the scene on foot. Meanwhile, the other occupant, identified as Erin Ward, reportedly dressed herself in the back seat. It was later revealed that Ward was a substitute teacher at OPS Burke High School and two other local schools.
Ward confessed to engaging in sexual activities with the teenage driver, who remains unnamed due to his age. Both Ward and the teenager, who are said to be co-owners of the vehicle, sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Following the events, the 17-year-old was located in a nearby neighbourhood and provided with medical attention and questioning. Ward, on the other hand, was arrested and charged with sexual abuse by a school employee. She is currently in custody at the Douglas County Department of Corrections.
