Accident – Death – Obituary News : Tragedy struck in Bhilwara as three brave individuals lost their lives in a heroic attempt to rescue two bulls that had fallen into a well while engaging in a fierce fight. The incident occurred in the Shahpura area of Bhilwara district late on Monday night. The victims, Dhanraj Mali (22), Shankar Mali (30), and Kamlesh Mali (25), tragically perished due to exposure to poisonous gas inside the old well.
Shankar and Kamlesh Mali, who were brothers, along with their companion Dhanraj Mali, selflessly risked their lives to save the distressed animals. Despite their best efforts, both bulls also succumbed to their fate. The entire village mourned the loss of these brave souls as they were laid to rest in a solemn ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Shahpura SHO Mahavir Prasad Sharma, the ill-fated rescue mission began when two bulls tumbled into a 40-feet-deep well in Arani village, owned by Rameshwar Mali. The dilapidated well, devoid of any protective barriers, had accumulated about 12 feet of water over time. Local youths sprang into action, calling for a JCB to extricate the bulls from their watery prison.
Tragedy struck as five youths bravely descended into the well, with three losing their lives and two sustaining injuries. Despite valiant efforts, only one bull could be rescued that night, but it had already breathed its last. The second bull, unfortunately, met the same fate and was only recovered the following afternoon.
In a coordinated effort involving local villagers and a rescue team from Hindustan Zinc, the police initiated a rescue operation around 9 pm on Monday night. The community rallied together in a display of solidarity and support, but the outcome was marred by the heartbreaking loss of three young lives.
The untimely demise of Dhanraj, Shankar, and Kamlesh Mali serves as a grim reminder of the dangers inherent in acts of bravery and selflessness. Their sacrifice will forever be remembered by the tight-knit community of Bhilwara, as they pay tribute to the fallen heroes who laid down their lives in the line of duty..
