Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a shocking new development in the case of the former Mayo Clinic resident accused of fatally poisoning his wife last year, a warrant reveals that he may have been identifying as a widower before she even passed away.

Connor Bowman, 31, is facing charges of second- and first-degree murder for the death of his wife, Betty Bowman, on Aug. 20, 2023. Betty tragically passed away at the Mayo Clinic’s St. Marys Hospital following a sudden onset of autoimmune and infectious illness. Despite medical efforts, she eventually succumbed to organ failure.

Toxicology reports later revealed the presence of the gout drug colchicine in Betty’s system the day after she was hospitalized, raising suspicions of foul play.

Multiple Women Met Connor Bowman on Dating App

A recent search warrant filed in Olmsted County sheds light on Connor’s behavior following his wife’s death. It was discovered that multiple women met Connor through the dating app Bumble in the weeks that followed Betty’s passing.

One woman reported that she matched with Connor on Bumble on Sept. 5, 2023, and questioned him about flirting with others. In response, Connor allegedly stated that Betty would have wanted him to move on and be happy. Shockingly, he also claimed to this woman that Betty had died from listeria poisoning earlier in the summer, despite it only being two-and-a-half weeks since her death.

Another woman, who matched with Connor on Aug. 29, 2023, informed investigators that he discussed a large life insurance payout he had received, which he used to pay off his student loan debt. Further investigation uncovered a $450,000 bank deposit from a life insurance company in Connor’s residence.

Additionally, one of the women Connor interacted with was led to believe that Betty had died a year prior while on comfort care due to an overdose of morphine. This revelation adds another layer of complexity to the case.

Search Warrant Reveals Disturbing Details

According to the search warrant, data from Connor’s phone showed that he had searched “is widow genre neutral” just two days before Betty’s death. Furthermore, he identified himself as a widower on his Bumble profile, misleading potential matches about his marital status.

The warrant requests Bumble to disclose information regarding Connor’s account access, profile status changes, and all communication data between specific dates. This additional evidence may be crucial in understanding the extent of Connor’s deceitful actions.

Connor’s next court date is scheduled for June 11, where he will face the charges brought against him in relation to his wife’s tragic death.
