SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) — Authorities in Santa Ana have revealed new information regarding a tragic murder-suicide that took place at a storage facility, where a man fatally shot his girlfriend and her uncle before turning the gun on himself.

The dreadful incident unfolded last Thursday, minutes before 4:30 p.m., at the 1200 block of Chestnut Avenue.

The victim stated that her partner, identified as 25-year-old Cameron Delani Clark, had attacked her and her uncle. Responding officers found the victims with stab and gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

The deceased were identified by the coroner’s office as Santa Ana residents Jordan Block, aged 25, and her uncle, Brian Martin, aged 64.

Authorities believe that Clark took his own life by shooting himself in the head. He succumbed to his injuries on Sunday after being in critical condition at the hospital for several days.

During the investigation, law enforcement discovered an assortment of weapons, including swords and knives, within Martin’s storage unit.

At the crime scene, a bloodied spear was recovered. Although it is uncertain whether the spear was used in the stabbings, Jessica Chandler, a friend of Martin, suggested that it could be part of his extensive collection of blades and weaponry.

Chandler mentioned that Martin’s expertise in weapons led to him being called as an expert witness in trials and providing training to actors in the film industry.

“He was a dedicated collector who cherished the history and stories behind each piece he owned,” she remarked. “Every item in his possession had a tale, and he was passionate about every single one, able to recount a wealth of information about them.”

Describing Martin as witty, intelligent, and caring, Chandler reflected on his role as a father figure offering love, hope, and compassion.

The case remains under thorough investigation as detectives work to ascertain the motive behind the tragic events.
