Arrest Made in Wake County After Discovery of Woman’s Body

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a suspect on Tuesday morning following the discovery of a woman’s body on Camley Avenue near Raleigh. Deputies were alerted to the situation after receiving a report of a body in the 3700 block of Camley Avenue around 11:15 a.m. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Tyra Jalisa Bennett.

The body was found in a wooded area at the end of a cul-de-sac, but no details have been released regarding how long the body had been there or the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

Authorities have arrested 26-year-old Noa Najee Lorenzetti and charged him with murder. He is currently being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond.

Sheriff Willie Rowe expressed his condolences to the victim’s family and commended the investigators for their quick and thorough work that led to an arrest within 24 hours. He praised their dedication to seeking justice for the community.
