The discovery took place on April 21 when Garland police responded to a report about a body in the creek beneath a bridge near West Campbell Road and Water Oak Drive. Harrien was found among debris in the water at approximately 10:30 a.m., as confirmed by the police at the time of the incident.
Detectives are currently working with the Dallas County medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of Harrien’s death. It is suspected that his body may have drifted downstream from a location north of where it was found due to recent flooding.
While there are no immediate signs of foul play, the investigation remains ongoing until the toxicology report is completed. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the police at 972-485-4840.
In a statement released on Monday, the police expressed their condolences to Harrien’s family and assured them of their support during this difficult time.
