Accident – Death – Obituary News : An Orlando resident tragically lost his life in a fatal single-vehicle accident on Florida’s Turnpike late on Monday night, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The incident occurred just after 11:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes on the exit ramp to State Road 429 near Gotha. According to the FHP, the driver of a 2024 Ford Mustang lost control of the vehicle, veering off the left side of the roadway and colliding with a signpost.
The Mustang then continued into the median gore, striking multiple trees and overturning several times before bursting into flames. The driver, a 34-year-old man from Orlando, and a 38-year-old male passenger in the front seat were both ejected from the car during the rollover.
Regrettably, neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, as indicated in the preliminary report by the FHP. The driver and a third occupant, a 24-year-old woman from Orlando seated in the rear passenger seat, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Tragically, the front-seat passenger succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at AdventHealth in Winter Garden. The identities of the individuals involved in the crash have not been disclosed.
The FHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine the cause of the crash. Authorities urge anyone with information about the accident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
