Mica Miller : Officials Release New Details on Mica Miller’s Death: Updates and Information

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office has revealed new information regarding the tragic death of the wife of a South Carolina pastor, which has garnered national attention. According to officials, there has been a proliferation of “rumours and conspiracy theories” surrounding the case.

On April 27, authorities discovered a body in the water at Lumber River State Park, later identified as 30-year-old Mica Miller.

Before her tragic demise, at 2:54 p.m., the Robeson County dispatch received a distressing 911 call from a woman expressing her intent to end her life and requesting that her family find her body.

Despite the efforts of the dispatcher to reach out to the caller, the conversation abruptly ended. The dispatcher, however, was able to track the caller’s location to Lumber River State Park and dispatched a deputy to the area.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies and State Park Rangers initiated a search for the distressed caller.

During the search, a black Honda Accord with an SC registration, confirmed to be owned by Miller, was discovered in the park’s parking lot. Inside the vehicle, a Sig Sauer gun case was found on the passenger seat, along with a box of ammunition in the center console, and a receipt for the gun dated the same day as Miller’s death.

Subsequently, a man approached officials and reported finding a bag near the water’s edge containing Miller’s identification. The man also mentioned hearing crying and a gunshot while fishing in the area.

As the search continued, another individual contacted E911 to report the discovery of a body in the water, along with a Sig Sauer 9mm handgun. The serial number on the weapon matched the one found in Miller’s vehicle. Additionally, her phone and other personal belongings were recovered.

Miller, who was married to John Paul Miller, a pastor at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, was in the process of a divorce and had been separated from her husband.

It was confirmed that John Miller and a woman he is reportedly romantically involved with were not present in North Carolina on the day of the incident. During the investigation, it was revealed that John Miller was attending an athletic event in Charleston, with his vehicle spotted on Highway 17 in Horry County at 2:22 p.m. on April 27.

Various factors spanning an extended period may have contributed to the circumstances leading to this investigation, but ultimately, a devastating decision was made by Mica that resulted in her passing.”
