The suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting in Oklahoma City on Sunday afternoon has been identified as 61-year-old Lisa Daniels. The incident took place in the 3000 block of NW 61st St. at around 4:20 p.m. on May 5.

According to the Oklahoma City Police, officers were called to the scene in response to a domestic situation where a woman had shot a man. Upon their arrival, they found the male victim in front of the house and immediately moved him to a safe location to receive medical attention.

After securing the victim, officers called for Daniels to come outside. She emerged from the residence with a sweater covering her hand, mimicking the presence of a gun. Daniels then proceeded to make threatening gestures towards the officers, prompting one of them to fire their weapon.

Fortunately, Daniels was not hit by the gunfire, and officers were able to subdue her with a taser before taking her into custody. It was determined that she did not actually have a weapon in her hand at the time of the incident.

Following the altercation, Daniels was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on charges of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Meanwhile, the male victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is expected to survive his injuries.

As per standard procedure, the officer involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave while an investigation into the incident is ongoing. No other injuries have been reported in connection with the altercation.
