MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) – Two juveniles have been apprehended and a third individual is currently being sought in relation to a series of vehicle thefts that occurred overnight in McCracken County.

The first juvenile is facing a range of charges, including three counts of receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, and theft of a firearm. The second juvenile is also facing similar charges, specifically related to auto theft. Both individuals are currently being held at the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Facility.

Authorities have identified a third suspect as a male juvenile, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him.

In the early hours of Tuesday, May 7, deputies from McCracken County encountered a suspicious vehicle in the vicinity of Lakeview Drive in Lone Oak. The vehicle attempted to evade the deputy but nearly collided on Milton Drive.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, deputies noted that the steering column had been tampered with and the ignition was missing, indicative of a stolen vehicle.

Subsequent to this discovery, additional deputies responded to the scene and discovered two more vehicles with similar signs of theft in an empty lot off Lakeview Drive. These vehicles displayed evidence of forced entry, including broken windows and exterior damage.

Investigations revealed that two of the stolen vehicles had been taken from dealerships on Irvin Cobb Drive in Paducah, while the third had been stolen from a residence on Denver Avenue in Lone Oak.

Law enforcement officers, in collaboration with the Paducah Police Department, continued their search for the suspects.

K-9 Oscar played a crucial role in the apprehension of one suspect, tracking them to a wooded area off Milton Drive where they were subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Shortly after, another stolen vehicle was reported from a residence on Milton Drive, in close proximity to the initial crash site. Surveillance footage from the victim’s property identified the suspect as a male juvenile from the Farley area. The abandoned stolen vehicle was later recovered off Husbands Road.

The second juvenile suspect was located and arrested at his residence by deputies.
