Jojo : Thiruvalla Drunkard Attacks Woman, Beaten by Police – Kerala News

A 25-year-old woman in Thiruvalla was the victim of a violent assault on Tuesday at the hands of a drunkard identified as Jojo, a local resident. The incident took place near the Thiruvalla Police Station around 2 pm, where Jojo, heavily intoxicated, caused a disturbance before targeting the woman as she rode past on her two-wheeler.

The woman was forcefully pulled off her vehicle by Jojo, resulting in injuries to her jaw and shoulders. She was immediately rushed to Taluk Hospital for treatment. Witnesses, including locals and law enforcement, swiftly intervened to assist the injured woman and apprehend the assailant. Jojo was promptly taken into police custody following the attack.

However, the drama did not end there. While being escorted by police for a medical examination, Jojo faced retaliation from the relatives of the injured woman. They launched an attack on him inside the police jeep, striking him and throwing sandals at him. Police had to intervene to regain control of the situation and ensure the safety of all involved.

Prior to the assault, Jojo had faced another unfortunate event as his home was burglarized a few days earlier, with the culprits still at large. Despite visiting the police station to inquire about the case, he was turned away due to his intoxicated state. Tragically, the incident with the woman occurred as he was returning from the station.
