PHOENIX – A man accused of fatally stabbing a 24-year-old woman in Phoenix over the weekend has surrendered himself to border agents at Lukeville and is now in police custody.
According to a statement released by Phoenix Police on May 7, the 32-year-old suspect, identified as “Eduardo Ramirez-Galindo” by Phoenix Police and “Eduardo Galindo-Ramirez” by MCSO, turned himself in to border agents before being taken into custody and returned to Phoenix.

“[The suspect] was interviewed by detectives and made admissions regarding the death of [the victim],” read a portion of the police statement.
The tragic incident unfolded on May 5 when police responded to a welfare check at a residence near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered blood on the driveway and the victim, identified as Andrea Casarrubias Romero, was found deceased with multiple stab wounds.
“Preliminary information suggests Casarrubias Romero was assaulted sometime overnight by a known suspect,” police stated at the time.
The suspect is currently facing charges of second-degree murder in connection with the incident.
