CADDO PARISH, Louisiana – Teen to be Prosecuted as Adult in Applebee’s Shooting Case

In a recent development, the Caddo District Attorney’s Office has announced that a teenager involved in a shooting incident at a Shreveport Applebee’s parking lot will be facing prosecution as an adult. The accused, 17-year-old Demariea Jennings, is alleged to have been involved in the shooting of a restaurant employee on March 27 at approximately 11:43 p.m.

According to authorities, the shooting took place when shots were fired from a vehicle parked nearby. Jennings is also believed to be connected to a drive-by shooting incident that occurred at a residence on Grassmere Street in Shreveport on April 17.

The driver of the vehicle during the incidents, identified as 30-year-old Shuntara Wilson, is reported to be Jennings’ stepmother. Wilson has been arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder, principal to attempted second-degree murder, and compounding a felony. She was taken into custody and booked at the Caddo Correctional Center on April 27.

Additionally, an arrest warrant has been issued for Laanthony Hobley, aged 19, in connection with the same shooting incident on Grassmere Street. Hobley is wanted by law enforcement for charges including attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentality, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
