Local residents raised the alarm after noticing that the woman never left her room during the day, prompting them to alert the police. Concerned about her suspicious behaviour, the officers swiftly moved in and took her into custody on Sunday evening.
Upon questioning, the suspect failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for her presence in Kisii, nor did she possess any identification documents. As a result, she was escorted to the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) offices for further interrogation.
“It is unclear what her intentions were, especially since she remained confined to her room for an extended period. The case is currently under investigation to determine the extent of her involvement in any illegal activities,” remarked a police official.
