Mangaluru (Karnataka): A tragic incident unfolded as a second-year Pre-University student was discovered dead in her hostel room at a private college in Moodbidri, Karnataka, according to local authorities.
The deceased has been identified as C M Divya, an 18-year-old student from Mysuru.
Reports suggest that the student was battling health issues and was under immense pressure regarding the upcoming NEET examinations, which are essential for admission to professional colleges. She was scheduled to appear for the exam on Sunday.
On Saturday night, the hostel staff made a harrowing discovery when they found the student hanging from the ceiling fan in her room.
The parents of the deceased have filed a complaint with the Moodbidri police station, outlining their daughter’s struggles and fears leading up to her tragic demise.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the student’s death to establish the sequence of events that led to this devastating outcome.
