Accident – Death – Obituary News :
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Authorities in Birmingham are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic fire incident that occurred during the early hours of May 4th. The victim of the fire has been identified as 52-year-old Antonio Maurice Sistrunk. The incident took place in the 1500 block of 53rd Street in the neighbourhood of Ensley.
The fire, which went unnoticed by emergency services as there were no visible flames from the exterior of the property, was only discovered after a concerned neighbour raised the alarm. Birmingham Fire Rescue responded to the scene initially as a medical call, following the neighbour’s report.
Following an autopsy, no evidence of foul play was found in relation to Sistrunk’s death. However, the Birmingham Fire Marshal’s Office has taken over the investigation to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
