Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently conducting an investigation into a suspicious death that occurred in the Township of Alfred-Plantagenet.
Authorities from the Hawkesbury OPP Detachment, along with Prescott-Russell Paramedics, were called to a residence on County Road-17 just before 8:00 p.m. on February 22, 2024. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of a 32-year-old male inside an apartment. The deceased has been identified as Timothy PROVOST.
At this time, investigators do not believe there is any immediate danger to the public. However, a significant police presence will be maintained in the area as the inquiry progresses. The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the investigation, working in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. The assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and OPP Emergency Response Team has also been enlisted.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in Ottawa to determine the cause of Timothy PROVOST’s death.
