Livingston Man Charged with Capital Murder Linked to Previous Stabbing Incident

Six months prior to his arrest on capital murder charges in the tragic death of 11-year-old Audrii Cunningham, Steven McDougal was allegedly involved in a violent stabbing incident in Livingston, Texas. According to court documents, McDougal was accused of stabbing a man after a woman lured the victim to her broken-down car.

Attorney David Feldman, representing the victim, revealed that the victim was ambushed and stabbed multiple times in the back by McDougal. Despite the incident, McDougal was not immediately arrested, leading to further alarming developments.

It wasn’t until McDougal was identified as a person of interest in Audrii’s disappearance that the victim came forward, prompting authorities to take action. McDougal was subsequently charged for the August stabbing after confessing to the crime during questioning related to Audrii’s case.

As the investigation unfolds, more victims and witnesses have come forward with disturbing accounts of McDougal’s alleged violent behavior. Katelyn Bolin, a former acquaintance of McDougal, shared her harrowing experience involving an assault with a metal pipe carried out by McDougal.

Recalling the incident, Bolin described how McDougal had requested a ride and then led them to a remote location where the violent attack took place. Despite Bolin’s quick thinking and calling 911, McDougal managed to flee the scene, leaving a trail of fear and uncertainty in his wake.

Bolin’s decision to speak out following Audrii’s tragic death serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of being vigilant about the company we keep. She emphasized the need to be wary of seemingly friendly faces that may hide dark intentions beneath the surface.

Currently held without bond in the Polk County Jail on capital murder charges, McDougal’s case continues to unravel, shedding light on a series of disturbing events that have left a community in shock and mourning.
