The unfortunate incident took place on the 2900 block of W. Lee Highway. Reports from the Virginia State Police reveal that the driver of a GMC truck, towing a box trailer, was navigating the road when the driver encountered a situation where they were unable to avoid colliding with Stafford, who was pushing a grocery cart along the road.
It is a harrowing fact that the area where the crash occurred lacks any shoulders or sidewalks, leaving pedestrians vulnerable to such tragic accidents, as highlighted by the police authorities investigating the case.
