RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A 19-year-old Richmond man has been identified as the individual who tragically lost his life in a recent double shooting incident in the city’s East End.
According to reports, the Richmond Police Department received word around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, that two individuals had been admitted to a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
The adult victim, identified as 19-year-old Trimaine Reed of Richmond, succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital. The second victim, a juvenile male, sustained injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening by authorities. Details about the juvenile’s identity have not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities have determined that the shooting incident took place in the 1700 block of North 22nd Street. The Richmond Police Department is actively investigating the case and seeking any information that could assist in their inquiries. Detective A.
